About Lancashire Removal Companies

Moving home means handing everything you own to strangers for a day, often on a firm's word alone. Most people pick a removal company from the first few names in a search, and those are not always local, or even real firms: some are lead sites that sell your enquiry on.

Digimill is a small website and search business in Colne that works with local firms every week. This guide puts every removal company in Lancashire with a Google review on one list, town by town. For each one it shows what the firm says it does, its Google rating, and whether we matched it on DVSA's published register of goods vehicle operator licences.

A firm we did not match on the register is not unlicensed. Vans of 3.5 tonnes or less need no operator licence, and a firm may hold one under a company name that differs from its trading name. That is why every listing shows the date it was checked, and why any firm can claim its listing and give us its licence number.

Every firm starts from public business data. We keep those in Lancashire that are open, have at least one Google review and do removals work, and we merge duplicates. Rubbish removal, self-storage-only and unrelated firms that share the word "removals" are left out.

We then read each firm's own website and record only what it states: house removals, packing, storage, office moves, long-distance and international moves, man and van, piano moving, clearances, dismantling furniture, home surveys, goods-in-transit insurance and British Association of Removers membership. Where a site says nothing, the listing shows no answer rather than a guess.
